We have four strategic goals:
- Extending reach and impact - to more schools and more students, especially those who are disadvantaged
- Designing and trialling new interventions to tackle entrenched issues in schools
- Delivering organisational effectiveness
- Building a national movement
Our new Chair will play a major role in ensuring that Future First delivers on our strategy and priorities, delivering organisational effectiveness and building a national movement. Our CEO, Lorraine Langham, will be leaving at the end of 2022, having expertly steered Future First through exceptionally trying times for organisations, schools and children. The Chair will work with the Board to recruit, onboard and support our new CEO, enabling them to lead and grow Future First effectively and support a highly motivated and engaged workforce who benefit from strong learning and development, clear performance management, great hybrid working arrangements, good systems, processes and internal communications. The Chair will also help Future First expand its national reach across schools, alumni, partners and other external stakeholders, contributing to our impact and financial stability, whilst providing sound governance and oversight.
The Chair will be an experienced, confident leader who can influence, challenge and support. They will be a natural collaborator looking to grow and develop a fast-paced, small business, and bring an understanding of the education sector and a strong commercial mindset.
