Our priorities

We have four strategic goals:

  • Extending reach and impact - to more schools and more students, especially those who are disadvantaged
  • Designing and trialling new interventions to tackle entrenched issues in schools
  • Delivering organisational effectiveness
  • Building a national movement

The COO will play a major role in delivering organisational effectiveness and building a national movement, using our new technology platform (like LinkedIn for schools and young people with all the safeguards built in). The COO will make sure we have a highly motivated and engaged workforce, supported by strong learning and development, clear performance management, great hybrid working arrangements, good systems, processes and internal communications. They will oversee the development and delivery of our digital technology, working with customers and colleagues across the business to understand their needs and ensure that these are built into our platform offer. Driving and funding the delivery of our technical product will be an important aspect of the role, so the COO needs to be confident with technical complexity and able to lead a technology programme.

The COO leads on financial and performance planning, supported by our accountancy partner. They need to be skilled with data and finance, able to see trends and gain insights through evidence. As the right hand person to the CEO, the COO works across the organisation to ensure operational effectiveness. They will be an experienced, confident manager, someone who can lead through influence, challenge and support. A natural collaborator looking to grow and develop within a fast paced small-business environment.
